Applications for this programme are not currently open
At the completion of their funded year, our World of Difference or World of Difference Fellowship programme recipients are invited to apply for the Extension Partnership Programme.
With three-year funding, this programme allows our recipient organisations to build on their achievements and further support young people to live lives they value. There are up to two extension partners per year.
We are currently supporting ten organisations – the first four that were announced in 2014 and the latter two March 2017; Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa, Springboard Community Works, Whangarei Youth Services Trust, Tuia Charitable Trust, Te Ora Hou OTAUTAHI Inc., Great Potentials Foundation, Naenae Charitable Trust and University of Auckland and (given out 2017) Te Aroha Noa and The MOKO Foundation.
All projects must align with our goal of empowering the most excluded and disadvantaged young people (12 to 24 years) to reach their full potential by supporting them to identify and grow their personal strengths. The projects we fund are not only innovative and ambitious, but have the potential for greater impact, while breaking cycles of disadvantage in New Zealand youth.
This is an invitation only process. The grant is flexible and funding can be used to cover operating expenses, evaluation, capacity and capability building. However, funding can only be given to a charitable organisation that is willing to share their knowledge and learnings with other youth sector charities. The potential investment is up to $300,000 per grant for up to three years. There are two Extension grants in 2017, so not all applications will be successful.
